Your Purpose May Not Trend, But It Matters

These days, scrolling through social media feels like walking through a high school hallway all over again. You know the scene -- the popular kids holding court, the constant chatter about who’s doing what, the polished smiles hiding a thousand quiet insecurities. Only now, the hallway is digital, the “cool table” is a curated feed, and the currency isn’t popularity points but likes, followers, and “impressive” job titles.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re running on a hamster wheel, chasing something that never seems to get you anywhere, you’re not alone. That’s the “rat race” everyone talks about -- the endless comparison, the pressure to prove your worth in someone else’s arena.

But here’s the truth I’ve learned: I’m not in a rat race. I left that track a long time ago.

My journey isn’t about keeping pace with the crowd -- it’s about following my calling. My grandmother instilled something in me that no algorithm can measure: the understanding that purpose is more valuable than popularity. She taught me that your mission matters more than your metrics, and your legacy matters more than your likes.

I know why I wake up in the morning. I know who I’m doing this for. And that clarity keeps me grounded when the noise gets loud.

Your purpose might not trend. Your mission might not go viral. But it will matter. It will touch lives in ways you may never fully see -- and that is worth more than any spotlight.

So if you’re reading this and you feel like you’re losing in the race… maybe it’s time to step off the track. Maybe you’re not here to win the race -- maybe you’re here to change the game entirely.

Run toward what’s real. Build what lasts. Live for something bigger than applause.

Because when you know your purpose, you’ve already won.
