Being the Light When the World Feels Too Heavy
There’s no sugarcoating or beating around the bush -- things feel heavy right now.
You turn on the news and it’s war. Violence. Division.
You scroll your phone and it’s grief. Comparison. Heartbreak.
You sit with your own thoughts and it’s stress. Loneliness. Exhaustion.
It’s like the world is moving too fast, spinning in chaos, while you're just trying to catch your breath. I get it. I feel it too.
But here’s what I know for sure:
Darkness doesn’t get the final say. Light does.
Even in the middle of confusion. Even when you're tired of holding it all together. There is still a light within you. It might feel small some days, like a flicker. But it’s still there. It’s still you.

And here’s the truth. You don’t have to do big things to make a difference.
Sometimes showing up for yourself is enough.
Taking a deep breath. Drinking water. Saying no when you're overwhelmed.
Smiling at a stranger. Holding the door. Sending a kind text.
These things may seem small in a world that’s breaking apart at the seams.
But they’re powerful.
Because kindness is contagious.
Love is louder.
And hope is still undefeated.
Please don’t give up on yourself or this world.
Yes, it’s hard.
Yes, it’s messy.
But you were created for this exact moment.
You are not weak for feeling everything so deeply. You are human.
And even when you feel like you’re running on empty, you can still be someone’s reason to smile.
Not because you have it all together.
But because you’re choosing to get back up.
Because you're choosing to care.
Because you're choosing to keep going.
We need more people like that.
We need you.
Let’s close with this:
Dear God,
In a world that feels loud, heavy, and unsure, fill us with peace.
Remind us that we are not powerless.
Help us shine in dark places, not by being perfect, but by being present.
Give us the strength to rise when we fall.
The courage to keep loving when it’s hard.
The patience to rest without guilt.
And the wisdom to be the light someone else needs, just by being ourselves.
Amen.
You’re not alone.
You are needed.
And no matter what’s going on around or within you,
Light will always win. 💛
Stay rooted. Stay soft. Stay shining.
Love, Jen
